Conference and Resource Fair Keynote Speaker

Mark Roos

Mark Roos is an award-winning composer for film, television, advertising, and interactive media. His work includes projects for Amazon Prime, Pixar, Microsoft Xbox, American Pickers, Catfish, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Snapped, and other acclaimed productions. Over the course of his career, Mark has collaborated with leading directors, producers, and creative teams across virtually every medium, including feature and documentary films, television, computer games, radio, websites, commercials, and custom music production. His honors include an AACTA Award, ADDY Award®, Rocky Mountain Emmy Award®, Student Academy Award®, AWNY Award, Garden State Film Festival Award, and awards from the Utah Broadcasters Association. Mark has also served on the Board of the Society of Composers & Lyricists as Production Music Chair.

Behind his professional accomplishments is a deeply personal story of recovery. Mark openly shares his journey from using alcohol to cope with panic and anxiety to finding sobriety, healing, and hope. He credits the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, along with the guidance of medical and psychiatric professionals, as essential to his recovery. His story reflects the power of connection, asking for help, and choosing recovery. He is honored to serve as this year’s Dual Diagnosis Keynote Speaker for Voices in Recovery.
